New Company Launched to Bring Locale-based Ubiquitous Computing to the Marketplace
I am announcing today the launch of a new company called ColoGeo. ColoGeo will bring locale-based, ubiquitous computing to the marketplace.
ColoGeo will bring together the world's brightest thinkers (and investors) in the area of location-aware computing, ad hoc networking, wearable computers, personal servers, Bluetooth, Wifi and sensor technology.
Check out the company website at http://www.cologeo.com for more details and to post your ideas and comments.

I wish you luck, not that you'll need it. Your past success speaks for itself.
This is a great vision:
"We envision a world where everyone carries around a small device, like a phone and/or an iPOD-sized server, and can share the experience of a world of conversation around him. Millions of user "clients" and hundreds of thousands of "servers", each with the chance to change history, even with a simple conversation."
I look forward to seeing this materialize into applications and a business.
I've added the cologeo blog to my blogroll.

I think every geek who loves the world they live in has dreamed up symptoms of the network you have resolved to create! Found on slashdot or any other geek haven, an idea such as this would be written off as too fantastic. But from behind the crosshairs of somebody who historically makes things happen? I'm excited. I'll be around to chime in, while you get all of our gears turning.
Initially, if you will be using the dialogue that appears on the blog in the form of comments, you may want to look for a forum suite more robust than the Typepad comments system. But I'm sure that will come with time and traffic.
