Free Golf in Abu Dhabi: Who's says LinkedIn Doesn't Pay Off?
I just got an email from one of my LinkedIn connections and he is offering me "complementary greens fees" at his golf club, the Abu Dhabi Golf Club by Sheraton in UAE. How cool is that?
Now, how can I get there and have a place to stay? Hmmm...

Well, I just got an invitation to an OpenBC party in Dubai next week: I wrote back to say that I'll make it if I can teach my camel to fly (riding them is fun, but to get there from Israel will take more than a week at their normal walking pace). And I even have somewhere to stay, because after 30-odd years I got in touch with someone from my old school who lives there.
By the way, that's one of the advantages of networking through multiple organisations. LinkedIn doesn't have off-line events, but I've been to several off-line events organised by OpenBC, eCademy and First Tuesday, and could go to many more in London if I were there more of the time.
